"A man's sexual life is viewed with suspicion and sometimes disgust by women,..."
Monty over at Ace of Spade's blog discusses Hymowitz's book Manning Up: How the Rise of Women Has Turned Men into Boys:
The big problem with modern heterosexual relationships is that apart from the sex, there's really not much in it for men any more. Men have few legal rights over their own progeny; family law for decades has whittled away a man's parental rights to little more than a financial obligation. If the woman already has children from a previous marriage, the man incurs an enormous burden in return for very little gain: in most cases he has no parental rights over the children, he competes for his wife's time with the ex (and the ex's family), and he incurs huge financial burdens but gains very little actual power in the household. A man's sexual life is viewed with suspicion and sometimes disgust by women, who seem to want to train a man's sex drive in the same way they train a naughty dog. A man alone with a small child is a man always on the verge of being accused as a child molester or abuser -- society has made single men afraid to even approach children who are not their own (and sometimes even when the children are their own).
15 Comments:
Women are free to unilaterally change the terms of a relationship at any time while shifting the bulk of the resulting burdens to the man. She can choose to work, or stay home and care for the children. If she likes sex, great--if she changes her mind and refuses to sleep with her husband; well, you go girl. What are a husband's options in any such circumstance? He can divorce her and lose his home and children while being burdened with support payments. It's a testament to men's desire for intimacy and not merely sex that any man seeks a wife.
The default attitude of society seems to be that the female way is the correct way and men must be brought into line. This attitude stands nature on it's head and cannot endure forever. Men are unhappy and so are at least some of the women.
Ironically, women have, even today, precisely the rights that men permit them to have. Who do you call when your rights have been violated, who are the ultimate enforcers of the law? Men. If you doubt this, imagine the effectiveness of an all female police force or military. Absent the singularity, this is as it has always been and will always remain.
We have yet to see if any society can withstand 100 years of women having the right to vote.
If you disagree, check back with me on the state of the US in 2019 (100 years after women started voting).
Why don't we allow children age 12-17 the right to vote? Whatever points you may have against the suitability of children age 12-17 voting, also apply to females over age 18.
How is it that Kay Hymowitz and Hanna Rosin can go around saying 'Men are losers for falling behind'...
Yet every day, we still see the tired old lie that 'women are paid just 77% of men for the same job'?
If this contradiction is a mystery to you, it need not be, once you realize this :
Most women don't care for facts or logic or appearing hypocritical.
Women merely live to pull stunts that get them attention and/or sympathy. This guides most of the actions women take.
Once you realize this, much of the world makes sense.
For anyone who wants to fight misandry, here is a powerful viral flyer campaign that can wage asymmetrical damage to misandry.
Please spend an hour or two to get other men educated, by posting flyers!
Relax. This is just a temporary interlude on the way to Sharia law. How many do you think are going to man up to defend the status quo?
I'm old enough that I won't see it, and I'd miss the beer anyway.
I would miss the beer.
And my gay friends.
And since I am a Christian, I would pay an extra tax.
But I would REALLY miss the bacon.

I will go to war if they try to take my bacon.

They can have my bacon when they pry it from my cold, dead hands.

... cold, dead, greasy hands.
Y'all can die for your bacon, if that floats your boat.
Me? I'll take Patton's advice and make the other dumb son of a bitch a martyr for his cause.

i learned a new word today..."gynecrat".
some sort of law-making misandric feminist.
"we must be gynecratic in our approach to new regulations regarding use of resourses from now on" she was heard to say.....
You know, some of this sexual conflict may come down to external and internal genetalia. Freud may be laughing in his grave.
We men spend our time trying to get into things, sexually and otherwise. Women spend time trying to keep people from getting into things, especially their things, sexually and otherwise.
OK, like most metaphors it does not bear close scrutiny, but it is an interesting heuristic.
Trey - who is feeling bacon deprived at the moment.
Mmmmmmmm...... bacon.
