democrats are socialists in sheeps clothing and are bent on ruining society as we know (knew) it.
we need the rich to remain induced to attain and keep wealth.
innovation, industry and investment.
the three "I"s must be preserved for our way of life to be sustained.
the socialist view is to wrest the means of production away from the population and create a vast (er) monlithic government where we will be spoon fed (starved) like children, and this plays into the hands of the resentful types who couldn`t make a real go of it themselves and would like cops, auditors and judges to take the yachts and mansions away from all the bad rich people who are the root cause of all the world`s (their) problems.
take the incentive to get more away from people and they stop doing things eventually and the whole thing crumbles.
It IS crumbling. The collective bargaining types go on strike, slow things down, even get violent if they don't get their gimmes. And those in legislatures are now hopping on buses or telling us the bills have to pass so we will know what is in them. Those that provide their "gimmes" (through confiscatory taxation) have to make it on their own. The person on the assembly line dropping a battery in every car that drifts by him makes more money than the average person who makes payments on that car for the next six years. I'm still concerned about Ford's quality down the line. Since the unions now own GM and Chrysler, the majority of Ford's employees are their own competition.

Kinda blows a hole in the tax the rich argument, as well as every other argument the Democrats are making.
