More totalitarianism and gender bias from a liberal. What a surprise.

Not from a male-centric perspective, but simply from the perspective that Napoleonic Law is repulsive (the presumption of guilt rather than innocence), the democrats are not doing anything to make this country better, but to make this country another country altogether.

Nobody is doing so much to completely f*&#over gender relations like liberal Marxist dems. From family court to VAWA to this college bullshit of male presumption of guilt, the dems appear dedicated to killing the birth rate, marriage, family and everything associated with it.

There should be a hunting season for dems. You don't have to eat 'em, but they do look great stuffed and mounted in the living room.

Very soon, a college will enforce this. Very soon thereafter, a male student will get very rich by suing that college, because, fortunately, there are still some judges around who believe that the Constitution means what it says.

Simple thing to do: stop taking federal money since schools now charge outrageous fees as it is.

The piece would be more convincing had the writer provided statistics and examples where this that he asserts is in fact taking place.
The few cases I am aware of in fact the men involved were found innocent of charges brought. But that too is anecdotal.

Whyh of why does the author of the piece condemn (example) teacher of English lit for not doing that which in fact they have never been trained to do, at least in my experience of 27 years teaching literature.

fred,

Funny, the Gang of 88 at Duke seemed to think that they were trained to get involved in that false rape case. And they never apologized for being wrong and accusing innocent men of rape. Professors seem to get involved in political causes like rape etc. all the time. Perhaps they should stop but that is another question. The fact is, they do get involved. Seems like your beef is only if they get involved in a non-PC way.

I still hope the careers of the gang of 88 go the way of Nifong's career. And I still hope Duke is suffering for it. That school lost my daughter's attendance and my hard earned money because of it.

What Nifong was willing to do to further his own ambitions still angers me to this day.

I wonder why the Duke Lacross team members falsely accussed of rape didn't sue the living bejesus out of those Gang of 88 members for libel and slander. Neither freedom of speech nor academic freedom gives anyone permission to grossly lie about someone else without consequences.

I don't associate with bigots and racists, which is why I am loath to use any of my GI Bill benefits to attend any College or University.

if you want some great fun, watch pen and teller's "bullshit" on youtube. they do a show on college that illustrates this sort of politically correct silliness.

i warned my friend when he wanted to send his daughter to brown university some years ago about the pc twittery. he didn't believe me.

It's hard to find a more sanctimonious, arrogant group than college professors, especially in liberal arts. Not to condemn all of them, as I've known some quite decent ones, but on the whole, compared to any other profession they rate up there with Hollywood types.

My children are tweens. They have already learned to find and work within the teacher's box. Recently one got upset because she found herself outside the box on an issue. We told her it is a part of life and to prepare as best as possible for it. That is a large part of what school teaches. A lot of teachers suck.

when my youngest boy came home crying over a movie he was shown at school, i was about to call to find out which film upset him so much, when i realised that it was an algore film about the environment. my boy was upset because we weren't recycling enough to save polar bears from drowning.

my boy was 4 or 5 at the time and well on his way to being indoctrinated into socialist bullshit.

i helped him to make some sense of the whole thing by explaining that sometimes wildlife get caught up in the change of the seasons and it wasn't because we don't peel the labels of soup cans before we put them in the blue box.

my oldest boy, who's now 15, likes to pop the pc bubble with his teachers and get grudging respect for his assertiveness and clear understanding of subjects without the pc smear.
