An interesting article but if the article headline is its thesis then I didn't see it defended anywhere (or even expanded).
On the subject of "Is Society Purposely Messing with Boys' Heads?" I'd have to say "no". Society can't purposely do anything. It's a group of people, each with their own goals.
A government could do something with a purpose (as described by law), as could a party, religion, corporation or anything else with a stated (or unstated) mission.
Agree with HMT. That article was utterly mistitled.
As re the given title, no, society is not to blame. Feminists are, and their Democratic Party enablers, who have completely thrown all males under the bus.
I think all forms of bigotry are satanic. But that is just me.

HMT, ZP - I think you're being a wee bit pedantic, although I understand your point. There is undoubtedly a social/cultural influence from modern radical feminism that creates the one-way street, double standards and double-binds that Ms. Scalia was talking about in her blog post. There are very real effects and outcomes that arise from this influence, which we discuss on this blog on a near-daily basis. So, while perhaps the post could have been better titled, I tend to agree with the basic premise that I took from her post.
Just my two cents. That and an additional $4.98 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.
Wrestling, along with most other men's minor sports, have been defunded by the enforcement of Title IX, which is determined to force women into organized sports at the college level.
My daughter, who is athletic, wanted to join some intramural sports program at UCLA when she began her student days, ten years ago. She looked on the web site and wondered what rugby was like. She went to a women's rugby practice and said those were scariest looking lesbians she had ever seen. She didn't go back but had trouble getting rid of them as they would call and e-mail her for weeks after.
She is a very pretty girl, now married and working on her PhD.
By the Reasonable Man Standard of the federal courts, seems to me the boy mentioned in the article was being sexually harrassed and placed by school authorities into a hostile environment, pure and simple.

They are at work... earning the money to pay for the items in the ad that they really didn't want to buy.
I travel quite a bit on my job and know many US, British and Australian guys who have married or are in relationships with foreign women. None, as in zero, of these women are in the least bit the feminist's stereotypical submissive Asian or Latin American women married to hidebound traditional insecure Western men. Far from it. But they aren't burdened with all the feminist garbage that so many US and European women carry with them. And it seems to work. A lesson to be learned, perhaps?

And, yes, the kind of women you meet in other places are NOTHING like what fembots like to claim. One of the sexiest things on a woman, in my view, is a foreign accent.
