At least the verdicts were just. I hope the sentencing will be as well.
Drug use, alleged or actual, does not make rape and torture acceptable. Nothing does.
God bless and keep those families and deliver justice to their perpetrators. In this life, and the next.

If that father were to later kill the murderer of his daughter, and soundly beat the defense lawyer, I would be inclinded to let him off with a minor offense like public nuisance. Providing he promise not to do it again.
