Were it not for the fact that you've been saying these things for some time now, I would say that you have, with this video, forever relegated yourself to the sidelines of public opinion-making. Saying something as non-PC as what you and Amy Alkon have said just doesn't do in today's PC world.
J.Bowen,
Times change. The pendulum will swing back the other way. Just wait.

Ladies - thank-you! I really appreciate the comments you have made, especially as a divorced white male - I have a teen daughter. Dr. Helen's point about the state becoming "Daddy" is too true and young women need to understand THEY have a great deal of power but must learn to exercise it responsibly (as boys need to learn as well) and that they are not poor & downtrodden. A mother who has (older) teen boys related an interesting experience about her 18yr old son that I thought was very indicative of this. It was also a rite of passage development. As most mothers find, she said she constantly nagged her son to cleanup his room thru his teen years, and then often had to gave-in and did it herself. Until he had a girlfriend and then magically before SHE came over he would dash about CLEANING UP! She was equally astonished that he would drop anything he was doing at 2330h and pick her up to drive her home after her job shift ended. She bristled at the power of this young girl over her son, and even said had she known about it at 18 - she would have used it!
I often get a laugh out of that story. And all of those kids and familes are wonderful btw. cheers, crj
