CNN in 3rd place is a dubious victory, when MSNBC is second. Can't say I am much impressed with Fox being first.
I think they all suck. But that's just me.

I agree somewhat--frankly CNN is better than MSNBC-- but honestly, anything that wipes away that smug lefty look from Anderson Cooper is okay by me. Notice in the article they think the reason their ratings fell is because they are the only "real news source" of the three. Yeah, right. Their left wing bias shows through in spades.
But, but....the writer says that CNN has a 'straight news' product, and only FOX and MSNBC offer slanted goods.
The MSM also says tha.....zzzzzzzzzz.
CNN is definitely better than MSNBC. I try to imagine Keith Olbermann giving his "Worst Person" diatribes on the air during the mid 60s with Cronkite as his competition (or, for all I know, a colleague).
Our news agencies are an embarrassment. They have all so closely branded themselves according to political bias, I wonder if the journalism department of our universities share the same building with the theater department.
Perhaps this is just because I'm half-British...but I have no problem with slanted news sources.
I do have a problem when a person tries to claim they're fair and in the center though. In the UK, minus the BBC, most news outlets wear their political bias on their sleeve.
If you pick up The Times, the The Independent, or The Daily Telegraph you know what to expect from them.

As Fox is the only network one could consider right of center and nearly half the U.S. is center or right of center, the numbers aren't as impressive as I would have thought they might be. I wonder if many right of center people still watch the big three more than any other outlet? Fox is the only MSM I watch. I do watch local news and weather, of course. I haven't taken the local paper in ten years now, so I know I am missing lots of local info. I go out and buy the Sunday edition sometimes. I do get most of my world info from Drudge because I can one stop shop and hit the major papers from around the world.

Yes. It never ceases to amaze me how fervently people will cling to their cherished ideologies while staring down reason, logic and the inconvenient reality that their ship is sinking. First the newspapers, now the left-wing news channels on the tube.
Only two explanations are possible, and I believe both are in play. Either collectivism, radical environmentalism etc. is a fundamentalist religion or there really is some sort of elitist political-financial cabal out there.
If not, why oh why repeat the failed prescriptions that brought Russia, Argentina and so many others to ruin? Taxpayers are being gutted to prop up collapsing hedge funds and a corrupt political class that grasps ever more tightly to the reins of power.
