My mother was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma in 1972. She had what was then experimental treatment at the University of Arkansas. She is now in their textbooks as one of their longest surviving patients. When she had a recurrence two years ago, her new physician turned out to have been an intern during her initial treatment 35 years ago. She is once again in remission and doing well.
It is unconscionable to withhold treatment for the benefit of data gathering, once it is known that the new medicine actually works.
Exactly how much control is each one of us giving the FDA over our lives? The FDA is only going to kill us if we choose to allow it to kill us. The FDA is really beside the point, the USDA is going to kill most of us first. The FDA is merely the icing on the morbidity cake.
A little homework and wise lifestyle choices will go a long long way if you desperately want to avoid an early death.
While true, I think we can thank the courts for this as much as any other organization. Or lawyers, or the whole "legal" system. That has taken over much of medical care. For many women who get a dangerous and risky procedure 4 times as often as needed during "birthing" because of (D) John Edwards (who made his fortune on the involved case), to the one who died in the story, to me not receiving medicines which worked in the past (in spite of getting treatments at the V.A. which can't be sued... then again, maybe they just want me gone), lots of people are being treated more directly by lawyers through fear of malpractice suits than are being treated by doctors. Though, sometimes I can't seem to see the difference?
Anyway, such is life, as the French wish they could say. Frogs... :p

Why?
If it works (and saves lives) it works! Who cares if it's the actual medicine working or tricking the brain into thinking it's going to work that does the trick?
Yes, I realize that eventually placebo affects will "wear off", but then it's time to go looking for a new solution.
The Rockefellers took control of 'western medicine' starting in the US in 1900-15. You can read all about it in such books as 'Death By Injection' by the late great Eustice Mullins. Or the very latest book, the lion sleeps no more by David Icke.
Western medicine is SUPPOSED to keep you sick. The FDA is the vanguard for making damn sure americans stay sick.
One word. Aspartame. If you knew the history of aspartame, how Rumsfeld was parachuted into Searl in 76 to get it passed. How Reagan kicked out the head of the sanctioned FDA efforts to block it that it was so bad...it killed or caused seizures in monkeys and gave rats brain cancers. How the new head of the FDA approved aspartame and then went on to be 'high paid consultant at searl'.
If you knew how aspartame is the ONLY chemical compound ever put into the UK food supply without being tested?
Yep. If you knew all this stuff? You would know that the FDA and our guvments want us sick....we are easier to control that way.
