Although the article makes some valid point, there is way too much gee-whiz-everything-is-different flavor. For example:
"The old model of command and control, with one leader holding all the decision-making power, is considered hidebound. The new model is sometimes called “post-heroic,” or “transformational” in the words of the historian and leadership expert James MacGregor Burns. The aim is to behave like a good coach, and channel your charisma to motivate others to be hardworking and creative."
Leadership has *always* been about motivating others. Xenophon understood this, as did Tom Watson Sr (creator of IBM.) Decentralization and delegation of authority are not things that were just invented yesterday. Creativity is not just something that exists in biotech and software; there was plenty of creativity in the development of the steam engine, the power loom, and the harvester, and there is creativity required every day in the ongoing operation of manufacturing plants.
"The aim is to behave like a good coach"...many if not most coaches are male, which would cast doubt on the theory that there is something inherently feminine about a "new" leadership model that is based on coaching...
I appreciate that Dr. S included the horrible consequences of growing up fatherless.
But part of the problem with this issue is that men of power don't give a shit what other people think of them. Well, they don't care much.
And so, the pluggers, the guys who get things done, are under-represented in any poll or reporting. They are either not interested in completing the survey or are too busy!
So while I agree with the points made about the cultural genocide practiced by the progressives, I worry less about how effective they have been.
Once again, reality turns out to not be a zero-sum game, and treating it as such screws up anything and everything that works.
It works into so many areas of life in These United States (and other places) that it hardly seems worth mentioning. And yet the mistake is so ubiquitous that it is taken as how things are or should be by a great many.
This is a joke, of course. The reality is that any guy who aspires to study or practice chess, math, physics, architecture, engineering, chemistry, computer engineering, software engineering, haute couture, haute cuisine, filmmaking, adventure travel, hitchhiking, mountain climbing, surfing, deep-sea diving, auto mechanics, high-voltage electricity, plumbing, stone masonry, framing, and god-knows how many other things, will find almost NO competition from women. Of course, he will have a rich but lonely life, having difficulty meeting women to converse with about the things that interest him most.
Any sensible man (unless he needs to find a woman for breeding and divorce) should stay away from those pursuits that naturally attract women or where government imposes "affirmative action," like nursing, public-school teaching, law, psychology, cosmetology, retail sales, and the like.
Though if I had a problem meeting women, I'd just get an affirmative-action scholarship to a school that has courses in Brazil-waxing. Affirmative-action means, at the least, that you can't be turned down for admission by being a male.

What's the difference between someone who hates you for being black and someone who hates you for being the least likely male on campus to date rape someone's daughter?

That is a remarkably candid -- and terrifying -- article.
