So, a bunch of "scientists" in Barcelona showcase the newest in virtual realty computing. Can I expect to buy this with the PS4?
Because really, they did nothing. Oh look, people react to stimuli attacking their bodily perception. Far more interesting would be first putting a group of women through the set showing a woman's body to see what their reaction is (and the same with a man's body for men). Then trying it with men's bodies.
But we all know that won't happen.

A great example of the broad but mostly unrecognized prejudice against men. How ironic that an experiment supposedly to explore prejudice is based upon an even greater prejudice.
This strikes me as a very flawed study. It's quite obvious to me that the subjects are mostly reacting the way they expect the researchers want them to react. No one being tested really believes they swapped bodies. They instantly realize they are playing "let's pretend" and so they pretend and go with the stereotypes. An extended test would find their behavior is unsustainable and the subjects would end up simply being themselves again.
