Conservative women, cyber-rape and wimps
I read a piece over at Pajamas Media by Dr. Melissa lamenting the recent Playboy article about hate f***ing conservative women:
Hot Air has another segment of this little gem:
Naturally, a lot of people (mostly conservative) are upset by this kind of talk. Me, I say, "put up or shut up." Honestly, do you really think a pansy guy like this Guy Cimbalo would have the courage to get in a room with, much less actually rape any of these conservative women?
Liberal men who write for Playboy or any other such liberal publication are by their very profession, wimps. They have no integrity, courage or balls. They say these things because they are used to getting away with it, as their publications and the milieu of people they run with encourage it. Put them in a room alone with a conservative woman and they would be scared shitless. I've seen the way these guys operate. It's pathetic and only works if they have a pack of other wimps to back them up. Once a conservative woman cut them down to the core, they would leave with their little tails between their legs and go back to the only place where they feel empowered: the liberal media world that tells them that they champion the good and the just, when in their heart of hearts, they know what they are: cowards.
Last week, ten women were the subject of a cyber-rape. That is, without their consent, they were subjected to one misogynist, Guy Cimbalo, and his rape fantasies, which appeared in his Playboy article titled “Ten Conservative Women I’d Like To Hate F***.” (The article has since been taken down.)
Perhaps you think “cyber-rape” is extreme. But consider what was said about Mary Katherine Ham:
You get this one pregnant, she stays pregnant. Karma’s a b****, isn’t it?
Hot Air has another segment of this little gem:
Obama promised us the dream of post-partisanship—a cuckoo land where party affiliation and factional animosity were forgotten. Turn on cable news or open any newspaper, however, and you’ll quickly discover that the dream has yet to materialize. But there is a way to reach across the aisle without letting principles fall by the wayside. We speak, naturally, of the hate [f**k]. We may despise everything these women represent, but goddammit they’re hot. Let the healing begin.
Naturally, a lot of people (mostly conservative) are upset by this kind of talk. Me, I say, "put up or shut up." Honestly, do you really think a pansy guy like this Guy Cimbalo would have the courage to get in a room with, much less actually rape any of these conservative women?

After reading through the first few paragraphs to the quote from Playboy, I was thinking, wow, what a scumbag; that is a really terrible thing to say.
Then I got to this part:
Liberal men who write for Playboy or any other such liberal publication are by their very profession, wimps. They have no integrity, courage or balls. They say these things because they are used to getting away with it, as their publications and the milieu of people they run with encourage it. Well, I don't know what you mean by "such liberal publications." Would the New Yorker count? Even if not, are all the writers for men's magazines really cowardly misogynists? Are all liberal men cowards who hate conservative women?
Excellent smackdown, Doc.
What amazes me is how women on the left continue to insist that it's Republicans who hate women and the Democratic party is the only party women should find themselves supporting. And they'll continue to do that, no matter what, because apparently the right to kill their unborn trumps EVERY other consideration.
Let's put aside Helen's "liberals bad conservatives good" viewpoint for just a second and look at the deliciousness that Mr.Cimbalo subconsciously stepped in when twitter typed faster than his braincells could operate.
Mr. Cimbalo works for Playboy. Now you simply can't miss "The Girls Next Door" on TV. Hugh Hefner, Playboy's fearless leader, and his minions drive the point home to TV viewers weekly that women are gorgeous, freeflowing sex should be revered, orgies are a good idea, boobies should be bare and big. Sex is not so much a shared activity between 2 committed partners but a good thing that should happen early and often in the grotto. There is nothing shameful about it.
Mr. Cimbalo is paid to further the cornerstone of the Playboy ideal along: Men should get laid, women should be willing eager participants. But Mr. Cimbalo might have been having a bad day, he got off on the wrong side of the bed today and forgot to be politically correct. He reverted to his caveman instincts, or maybe just back as far as 1985. He feels that if a woman disagrees with his ideas of right and wrong they deserve a physical act of violence brought on to them by, well, himself. Not only does Mr. Cimbalo wish to hurt these women but he wants to emotionally damage them, humiliate them and he wants to get something out of the act of violence for himself as in an orgasm, a feeling of superiority and perhaps a slap on the back for his efforts by other men who are in agreement that women who don't fall into line deserve punishment.
Mr. Cimbalo hasn't thought up this new idea, rape as punishment has been around for centuries. The challenge is that his innermost deepest machismo thoughts are bifurcating with those of Mr. Hefner. Mr. Cimbalo is not the only writer or media representative that is championing this concept. It is quite in line with "all women are bitches" that you see bandied about pretty regularly in advice columns, blogs and comment sections. I wish Mr. Cimbalo well with the recovery of his writing career. I'm sure he will land on his feet somewhere, but he may be more hesitant before he starts tap tap tapping away on his keyboard.
By definition, liberal men are cowards when it comes to women, conservative or not. They spend their lives kowtowing to the demands of feminists and making "safe distance" attacks on conservative women.
Laura - after Bill/Monica and all of Bill's other dalliances plus the treatment of women (including Hillary) by the liberal media, etc during campaigns that more women would get a clue.
Playboy isn't exactly a publication that I would go to for a viewpoint on anything. With the availability of internet porn for pervs to drool over, the Playboy Bunny is irrelevant - even the online version. There's too much air-brushed lusciousness for brain dead idiots to choose from. Does anyone really read the articles in Playboy? If so...why?
Libtards aren't for equal treatment - or even good treatment - of all women. Else they would be supporting things like microfinance in Africa instead of US-funded abortions for Africa. They would be angered over Obama's kissing up to Muslim leaders who would have every woman in Amerika wearing veils and unable to talk with who they please. They would especially be angry that some jackass at a publication that exploits women would suggest rape - the same "technique" the Taliban uses -as a punishment for women.
Sick, perverted, scumbags is what they are. There is nothing that smacks of journalism about this. It's true "hate" speech that will never be prosecuted.
It's not that all liberal men hate conservative women, but I think there's this myth about liberals (men and women) - that they're more tolerant, open-minded, peaceful than the more backwards and even barbaric conservatives. The myth is perpetuated in liberal-leaning media and in schools. Liberals in the media and academia by and large buy into this myth, so they don't believe (or are willing to openly admit) that people like them can also be misogynistic, racist, or intolerant in any way; they'll tend to explain away, ignore, and simply not report on such behavior in their ranks.
When conservative men (and women) make comments even remotely like these about liberal women, we hear shrill cries about woman-hating Republicans. But when it comes to their own behavior? That's what's maddening - the double standard perpetuated by the dominant media, and their general lack of courage when it comes to pointing out foul behavior in their own ranks.
So while I agree with Dr. Helen that a pervy little wimp like Guy Cimbalo wouldn't last a second against the likes of Malkin and Megyn Kelly and whoever he put on his little rape list, I still think that whenever possible we should try to highlight and publicize behavior like Cimbalo's, because by and large the media's going to cover it up, not report it, or just downplay it and relegate it to pg. A17 in small font. Not all of them, of course; to be fair, I saw outrage against Cimbalo from liberal bloggers as well, not only conservatives. But the liberal media at large, as a whole... I just think they need to be called out on it, to fight against the dominant myth that it's somehow only among conservatives that you'll ever see intolerant behavior. Foul behavior, whether from liberals or from conservatives, should not be met with a shrug and silence.
"Liberal men who write for Playboy or any other such liberal publication are by their very profession, wimps. They have no integrity, courage or balls. They say these things because they are used to getting away with it, as their publications and the milieu of people they run with encourage it. ---------------------
I usually have a bit of a problem with a woman calling men wimps and saying they would be scared shitless in a room alone with a conservative woman (and by extension ... Important Doctor Helen).
The problem I have involves the social pact that men don't beat the living shit out of women who say this.
Boys learn - when they are growing up - that you better back up what you say. Girls learn to be mouthy.
Helen is just mouthy.
The problem arises when she also takes the premise of "equality" as a given in her blabberings. And when she boldly uses the social pact of men not beating the living shit out of mouthy women to her advantage.
This social pact has to be two-sided, Important Doctor Helen. You have to do your part, or else dispense with your advantages and entitlement as a woman.
P.S.
If I had everything video-taped, so that there were no false accusations, I can honestly say that I would not be afraid of being in a room alone with you, Important Doctor Helen.
If I am allowed to defend myself.
FWIW It occurs to me that rape by family members (let alone unfamiliar bloggers ) is a valid punishment women may face in Islam.
Tether: do you find you creep people out in person as much as you do online ? Or am I misunderstanding ?
Dear Sock Puppet Andy:
Read what I wrote.
Thanks in advance for your kind understanding.
Whatever muslim customs may or may not be, it doesn't have much to do with my assertion.
Just more female victimhood, "Andy", that is designed to just shut men up.
Why can't we stick to the issues without bringing in a bunch of irrelevant, borderline insane claptrap?
This guy is a political hater who believes that his side approves his tactics. He sees that liberal standards are only applied to non-lefties while worse abuses by lefties or approved victim groups are ignored or explained away. So he expected his conservative target would pretect him. And to a great extent, it will.
Just to be clear, I've always understood "hate f***" as two people who normally hate each other using sex to express this hatred. In other words, it's supposed to be consensual, not rape. I knew guys in the military who referred to this sometimes, and one of them actually entered into a relationship with the woman afterwards.
Of course I'm not defending whatsisname's article. It was just slimy. But I don't think we should make it sound worse than it actually is by saying he was talking about rape. It was bad enough by itself.
Cyber-Murder! Quick! Call 911!
Is a “joke” like “don’t bend over to pick up the soap” made to a man convicted of a minor, non-violent crime, considered “Joke-Rape?”
Sigh. One thing is for sure, English is being Language Raped and it’s getting’ it in all orifices!
RaaaAAAaaaYYYyyyPPPeee!!!
By definition, liberal men are cowards when it comes to women, conservative or not. They spend their lives kowtowing to the demands of feminists and making "safe distance" attacks on conservative women.
With a few possible exceptions, none of the liberal men I know are feminists, but they may be more sympathetic to some of its views. I don't have any friends who deliberately attack conservative women, and I certainly hope I am respectful of men and women whether they are conservative or liberal.
Libtards aren't for equal treatment - or even good treatment - of all women. Else they would be supporting things like microfinance in Africa instead of US-funded abortions for Africa.
Liberals don't support microfinance? I wouldn't be surprised if a liberal invented it. Bill Clinton spent a while making the rounds for kiva.org, and they received a huge influx of investment because of him.
I think that's right. But is it too much to point out that a mirror image of that myth is being constructed right here and in the conservative-leaning media? One thing you could do is seek out liberal blogs, especially feminist blogs, and ask them why they don't take these issues more seriously. Maybe you have already. It can actually be fun to try to find people who disagree with you and engage them directly. There's just more to talk about.
Honestly, I see the potential for the blogosphere to change some of the polarization and hypocrisy, but so far it's made it worse.
It's for the same reason that liberals would tell you It Is The End Of The Muthafukkin' World if a man in poer even looks at a subordinate woman with desire and Teh Wimminzes Nevah! Lie About Rape ...
...Except when that Dreamy Bill Clinton Does it with Monica Lewinsky. And the Accusation of him raping a woman is a Filthy Lie(tm) made up by some bitch. Then it's "Different."
With liberals it is never about principles, only politics.
"One thing you could do is seek out liberal blogs, especially feminist blogs, and ask them why they don't take these issues more seriously. Maybe you have already. It can actually be fun to try to find people who disagree with you and engage them directly. There's just more to talk about."
I do also visit liberal blogs. That's how I found out that some of them have also called out Cimbalo on his behavior. And I have asked others on blogs why they don't take these issues more seriously... I haven't yet gotten an answer that actually addresses the question (usually it involves a downplaying of the original remarks with a follow-up of "Malkin really is a bitch" or "insert name here" is a bigot/bitch/etc. so who really cares... another popular response is to say, who cares, because "insert name of conservative" is sexist and all conservatives are sexist, so let them get a taste of their own medicine).
As for conservative blogs creating a mirror image of the myth... I hope that's not the case, hence the last line in my first comment on this thread. I don't want there to be a double standard, whether in favor of liberals or conservatives, when it comes to pointing out foul behavior. But it does especially bother me when liberals wear the mantle of 'respectfulness' and 'tolerance' while engaging in (or countenancing) behavior/speech that demonstrates nothing of the sort.
I agree that you should not live in an 'intellectual echo chamber', whether online or off, but instead read different viewpoints and engage people with different viewpoints - even if you still wind up vehemently disagreeing with them. If you're interested in finding websites that are intellectually rich and offer articles and links to publications and blogs of different viewpoints and a wide range of topics (science, culture, politics, etc.), my favorite one is Arts & Letters Daily (www.aldaily.com) (just in case you've never been there). I recommend it to everyone.
"[D]o you really think a pansy guy like this Guy Cimbalo would have the courage to get in a room with, much less actually rape any of these conservative women?"
Put him in a room with Ann Coulter and he'd be lucky to escape with his life.
Francis and Helen: The person who wins in a fight isn't necessarily the most righteous, the most moral or the most law abiding. The person who wins in a fight is the person who knows a little something about fighting, is stronger and faster than their opponent. We have no idea about Mr. Cimbalo's skills, nor the fighting skills of the conservative blogging women nor Anne Coulter.
Not to go off topic but here is one for Helen.
Why do you get so exercised by some stuff that a writer gets paid to write and is put in a magazine for some guys (yes: conservatives and liberals read it)? Sneer and move on.
No woman ever needed an abortion because of "cyber rape."
Leave it to Tether to feel sympathy for a man who extols the virtues of 'hate sex', better known by its legal definition: rape. And in the process vilify a woman (and one sympathetic to men's rights at that) for expressing her contempt for such a man. You very much remind me of the man-hating feminists you so revile.
Oh yes, more "Shaming Language"... or as liberals put it; "Hate Speech".
But please, do go on, Tether, keep it up. I am sure that, despite setting back the cause of men's rights (and giving ammo to the feminists ravings) every time you make a post like your first in this thread, it will warm your heart to know you put conservative women in their place.
However I am indebted to you for something. Most of my friends think I am a misogynist. But after showing them your posts they have shut up about that. So thank you!
Hey look Tether, I found your perfect woman!
www.brusselsjournal.com/node/3946
Perhaps you should look her up? I sense love in the air...
Oh, I am sorry, Tether, it looks like I got you all wrong... you are actually on the same page as most feminists on this issue!
http://pajamasmedia.com/blog/when-rape-fantasies-involve-conservative-women-feminists-are-silent/
I haven't read Playboy in almost 20 years, but I'm sad to see that in the interim they've managed to outdo Hustler.
For shame!
You're right, Dr. Helen. A man who is intimidated by or afraid of a strong, confident woman is not a man. But rather a cowering boy.
I got no problem with women. It's stupid, spoiled, conceited little girls I won't have anything to do with.
The conservative women of the Fox Network variety (at least) are actually not quite so frightening as they are horribly repulsive.
They have that same shrill psychotic wail and robotic speech pattern.. only vaguely humanlike- almost identical to their liberal counterparts. The only difference is the content of the mindless shreiking.
The reality is that if you did enter a room with this variety of harpys and got into an argument with them and began winning, they would call 911. So it is the fear of false accusation and guaranteed subsequent arrest that is the real fear men feel of any political persuasion around women.
It's not the women themselves, but the SWAT team they hold the remote control to in their hands in the form of a cell phone- using them as their personal bouncers for anyone who would disagree with them.
Hope that cleared everything up for all of you.
You rant is without substance, I must de-follow thee.
The term "cyber-rape" is THE JOKE of this whole scam.
Sorry, as Zenpriest says, it is not a good day until I have pissed one liberal and one conservative alike.
This woman should be SHUNNED!
MEN, go to PRISON, and get RAPED in the REAL sense for LIFE, up the ASS, which FEMINISTS CAMPAIGNED was less serious than vaginal rape... (Male rape IS argued as more prevalent, because of prison population, than female rape! Wow, eh? The numbers are interesting!)
And we are releasing men EN-MASSE because of PROVEN FALSE RAPE HYSTERIA and JACKASS Prosecutors. Exhibit One: The Duke Lacrosse Trial. (I left a link further up)
Bullshit!
Cyber-rape!
MY GOD!
Where IS female chivalry? Eh?
This is HORSESHIT - not from you particularly, Helen - but, SAY SOMETHING!
Do women still want to be treated seriously, or do they need to have the cookie jar taken from them, like children who don't know right from wrong?
Cyber-rape!
Piss off.
Let's take back the language, eh?
This is CYBER-BULLSHIT.
You ladies, YES, those of you who are scared of RAAAAAAAAAAYPE! E-mail this shrew and tell her to get the language straight.
There are lots of men here who have been "financially RAAAAAAYYYYYPEd" and who have been "FAMILIALY RAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYPPPPPEEED!"
And that is one hell of a lot more goddamn serious than Michelle Malkin having a few slew words spoken against her.
As far as I knew, Great Goddess Michelle, is not above dishing them out herself!
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYPPPPPPPPE!
Christ!
Let's Cut out the RAAAAAAYYYYYPPPPE crapola, eh? And you conservative ladies COULD show us some CHIVALRY!

"Rape is the primary heterosexual model for sexual relating. Rape is the primary emblem of romantic love. Rape is the means by which a woman is initiated into her womanhood as it is defined by men." -- Andrea Dworkin, Letters From a War Zone, (Dutton Publishing, 1989)
"Men are rapists, batterers, plunderers, killers; these same men are religious prophets, poets, heroes, figures of romance, adventure, accomplishment, figures ennobled by tragedy and defeat. Debating Sexual Correctness (New York, 1995) p.231.
"Men's sexuality is mean and violent, and men so powerful that they can 'reach WITHIN women to fuck/construct us from the inside out.' Satan-like, men possess women, making their wicked fantasies and desires women's own. A woman who has sex with a man, therefore, does so against her will, 'even if she does not feel forced.' -- Judith Levine, (explicating comment profiling prevailing misandry.)
"I feel what they feel: man-hating, that volatile admixture of pity, contempt, disgust, envy, alienation, fear, and rage at men. It is hatred not only for the anonymous man who makes sucking noises on the street, not only for the rapist or the judge who acquits him, but for what the Greeks called philo-aphilos, 'hate in love,' for the men women share their lives with--husbands, lovers, friends, fathers, brothers, sons, coworkers." -- Judith Levine, Authoress of My Enemy, My love
"There are no boundaries between affectionate sex and slavery in (the male) world. Oppression is something that one group of people commits against another group, specifically because of a 'threatening' characteristic shared by the latter group--skin color, sex or age, etc. The oppressors are indeed FUCKED UP by being masters, but those masters are not OPPRESSED. Any master has the alternative of divesting himself of sexism or racism--the oppressed have no alternative--for they have no power--but to fight. In the long run, Women's Liberation will of course free men--but in the short run it's going to cost men a lot of privilege, which no one gives up willingly or easily. Cyber-rayyyyyype.
What a freakin' joke.
Let's take back the damn language!
Don't tell me... the next thing is that we should all have table cloths that cover the legs of our tables!
Gak!
Quite frankly, I don't give a shit about ANY rape!
It's kinda like the boy who cried wolf... remember that story... it was one of them who had a moral meaning to it.
And NO, I don't care about the women who were "really raped." Lol, weren't ya all?
You know what?
Your vagina is DESIGNED to be a spongy piece of flesh that accomodates a penis.
If unwanted, YES, that is damn awful.
But, does it warrant imprisonment similar to MURDERING someone?
Holy! Ladies... a little too much thought between your legs, eh?
Bad, Yes!
The same as murder?
Again... go F*ck yourselves. Aren't you somefin special.
I'm buying stocks in dildo companies.
And this guy’s company! Uh oh, ladies… overplayed the RAAAAaaaaYYYYppppEEEE card a bit much?
Lol!
Men have always adapted... I have no doubt they will again. (Spike vs. Rhythm)
Men Have Bred Dogs and Cattle, Why not Women?
Why the hell wouldn’t we?
Anyone?
Anyone?
How about you, McFly?
Laughing out loud!
(Remember, Sir Harry also has a Ph D in Psychology.)
If we stick to the subject, the article was basically about grudge raping a select group of women because of their political beliefs.
Should any of the mentioned "deserved targets" find themselves alone with this guy somehow, I would expect them to shoot first and ask questions later. One could simply hand reprints of his article over to the judge and jury in defense. Rape isn't about sex. I also doubt those convicted of the act have asked if the woman was a democrat or a republican first. Until this guy.

....the other night, David Letterman, on the Tonight Show, 'hate f**ked' a fourteen year-old on national television.
And the audience 'laughed'.
Seems like this is going to become the latest tool in the hands of the 'liberals'/'progressives'.

Even if not, are all the writers for men's magazines really cowardly misogynists?
If they thought the Playboy article in question as being "no big deal", then the answer is yes.
I suspect if someone where to substitute "Michelle Obama", "Hillary Clinton", "Jeanne Grafalo" and so on, those very people would have had a cow and been outraged at the hate from the right.
If the man was to substitute Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and and Jenine Garafalo nobody would say anything because female democrats are very used to having hate spewed at them. Life goes on.

I'd ask you to ponder on the irony of your statement, grasshopper, but obviously the concept is lost to you.

I wonder if Cham can explain away the 'outrage' that was expressed when Rush Limbaugh referred to Hillary and Chelsea in disparaging terms. And how it relates to his claim that people don't get upset with female Democrats are disparaged.
Then again, we have David Letterman's comments regarding Palin's 14 year-old daughter from the other night.

Well, well. This one pushed some personal quirk buttons on Tether and Rob Fedders, didn't it?
"If I had everything video-taped, so that there were no false accusations, I can honestly say that I would not be afraid of being in a room alone with you, Important Doctor Helen.
If I am allowed to defend myself."
Allowed how? Verbally? You may not be afraid, but you'd lose. You can't stay away from false generalities.
Cham -- You're simply wrong on this.
I think that Gimbalo's threat should be taken seriously and any woman on that list now has reasonable cause to shoot him dead if he approaches within 50 feet of her.
He has motive and intent clearly established. All that is missing is opportunity.
He seems to have forgotten that conservative women also are not against carrying guns. Nor do they frown when their male friends do. Karma can be fickle as well.

Excellent mis-statement of the law, Roci, since the issue in your hypothetical would be proving the affirmative defense of self-defense.

I agree that shooting Gimbalo on sight is a bit much. But I think it would be an interesting demonstration for the women on the list to go for a restraining order against his being within 50 yards of them.

Missing of the point on the massive scale.
The issue is not "hate fucking" but rather the liberal hypocrisy involved herein, to wit, that a much lesser article mocking liberal women would be a media firestorm of outrage and calls for censorship, loss of jobs, criminal charges, etc - while, when directed at conservative women, apathy and even approbation are the order of the day.
Chuck,
I am not getting your point. I was not referring to any law in particular, only what a reasonable person would consider. If any of the women see this person in close proximity, they should reasonably guess what his intentions are and act accordingly.
Unless they are liberal. Then they should get restraining orders and call 9-11 multiple times hoping that agents of the state will get there in time to provide for their security.
Cham,
The difference is that liberals get away with saying hate-filled things because the media gives them a pass. This is simply a fact. Conservatives have learned that they do not get a pass, and are raked over the coals for anything. Rush says he wants Obama's policies to fail (so do I), then he is vilified not only by the media but by the White House administration itself. If George Lopez says "Fuck Bush" it is put on HBO and cheered by liberals. So you have no idea of what you are talking about. Try making conservative talking points in many academic settings, media settings etc. and you will see the hate and censorship come down on you like you have never witnessed.
Words mean something. When you publicly state your intention to act violently against someone, you justify their automatic and reasonable desire to prevent you from doing so.

Actually, if you re-read my comment you'll notice that I am quoting JG. And it was JG who was referring to the Law.
Hope that helps.

Late to the party, but some points:
1 - what a delicious takedown by the lovely Doc.
2 - women are gorgeous, freeflowing sex should be revered, orgies are a good idea, boobies should be bare and big
To which, as a guy of the male persuasion, I can only say sweeet! [dives into foxhole]
3 - Put him in a room with Ann Coulter and he'd be lucky to escape with his life.
I would pay money to watch that, especially since Ms. Coulter knows her way around high-powered rifles. (Was going to post a link to a pic of Ann sighting a target with a rifle, but it's been aged off her site, sadly.)
4 - We have no idea about Mr. Cimbalo's skills, nor the fighting skills of the conservative blogging women nor Anne Coulter.
See parenthetical above. Would still pay money.
5 - Even if not, are all the writers for men's magazines really cowardly misogynists? Are all liberal men cowards who hate conservative women?
two words: Sarah Palin.
Cimbalo's article, Cooper's tea bagging statement, Letterman's stupid remark. These people are not professionals, not even adults. And as Scott has brought forward, Sarah Palin.
Who will run for president in 2012 is, as of yet, unknown. As it stands now, even if they're not running, I'm writing in Gingrich / Palin on election day.
And of course it's politics. It's all politics. Even feminism. No feminist, save Tammy Bruce, protested a single time about Governor Palin's treatment during the campaign.
Dr Helen:
I have to say that I am disappointed by your article. Cyber-rape? Indeed? And what shall we call what happens to men in divorce courts and the judgments passed upon men by Judges across America? How about Judicial Rape?
I will tell you something about us men Doc, more and more of us are waking up every day and we are becoming aware of the shit-deal that our society gives us. We can no longer be content with a lifetime of work, a wife, a house, two cars, 2.1 brats and retirement. You women broke the deal with the massive RAPE of millions of men, RAPE-ing our hard-earned finances, RAPE-ing our rights, and stealing our children away from us.
Soon, there won't be enough manginas and captain-save-a-hoe's left in the world to support women's high-status lifestyle. So enjoy your power while it lasts.
By The Sword,
Sometimes I am going to write things that readers disagree with. And yes, I think that Judicial rape is an adequate term for some of the injustices done against men in our kangaroo courts. The point of my post was that this guy wrote some hate-filled things because he thought there would be no repercussions from his buddies in the liberal media. That's the real point I was trying to make.
Liberals don't support microfinance? I wouldn't be surprised if a liberal invented it.
Except it was invented by the guy who won the Nobel Prize a couple of years ago, Muhammad Yunus, for the Grameen Bank that he developed to extend micro-credit.
Let's see:
A gorilla momentarily escaped from a South Carolina zoo and attacked a pizza vendor yesterday; so, let's do some "Letterman" jokes.
1. Michelle was upset her latest haute culture outfits had not arrived yet.
2. Michelle only wanted to place a call to St Louis for pizza.
3. The White House denied all claims that the gorilla was one of Obama's distant, Kenyan cousins.
4. Michelle was no longer proud of her country.
I've looked around and seen some of those responses now in the press. They are really vile. I'm more convinced by what people say than what they don't.
As for conservative blogs creating a mirror image of the myth... I hope that's not the case, hence the last line in my first comment on this thread. I don't want there to be a double standard, whether in favor of liberals or conservatives, when it comes to pointing out foul behavior.
There is no double standard. It's just that people feel a warm happy feeling when they are part of a group. They can see the varied opinions within their own group and accept them as part of a tapestry, but they form caricatures of outside groups and believe they have uniformly evil opinions that must be countered with full force.
my favorite one is Arts & Letters Daily (www.aldaily.com) (just in case you've never been there). I recommend it to everyone.
Thanks! I'll check it out.
Apparently somebody's been accusing Playboy of having a smidgen of class, and they are taking measures to sort out the problem.
Granted I'm not up on the hip teen slang. But I think the idea of "hate f---" is that your mojo is so powerful that even women who hate you want to have sex with you.
It's a way of putting uppity women in their place, but I don't think rape is involved in the fantasy.
