Are you a terrorist?

Are you wondering if you are a terrorist according to the Department of Homeland Security? I found out the answer was "yes" after taking this handy quiz at Reason.

How bizarre. The Left is doing all the things it claimed it feared the Right would do. And it's doing it quickly, openly, and self-righteously. Has it been a massive case of projection, or have they really wanted this to happen all along, their objections being in reality reverse-psychology suggestions?

Sorry Dr. Helen,

I'm another of your readers who, as it turns out, is also a terrorist.

Maybe you should have asked the question, "Are any of you NOT terrorists? That way, you'd have to do a lot less counting:)

Questionnaire says I'm a terrorist too. Was news to me.

Whodathunkit that actually believing in the 2d and 10th amendments is all that is needed to qualify one to be a terrorist these days?

Ya know, if it had been McBushChimpy and Co making the proclamation that all lefties were terrorists for their wacked out beliefs, the MSM would be agog. Instead, collective yawning.

"Who said anything about arresting anyone?"That comes next, after the BOLO for 40% of the population who thinks that left-wing government expansion is all wet. McCarthy's Red Scare started out this way too...only he was correct that commies did infest the government.

I have several aliases and if you think I am going to provide them to this Internet site you are out of your mind.

I was considered a terrorist long before the rest of you. I've called myself a liberal democrat during 2001, 2002 and 2003 during the heyday of support for the Iraq War. I learned I was a terrorist AND Anti-American, and should do everyone a favor by leaving the country immediately.

Dang! They just keep watering stuff down!

First, they had to give EVERYBODY in the Army those damned berets. Couldn't just leave it to the Airborne and the special operations community.

Now they're labeling EVERY veteran a "potential terrorist," not just those of us trained in, ahem, 'uncoventional operations.'

Can't they leave us with ANY distinctions ?

It never would have bothered me bothered me to be on "the list," if there was such a list and if I were on it. Just like a cop in my home state knows I have a carry license if he runs my license plate before pulling me over. I accept that certain circumstances require a certain level of vigilance by the forces of law and order, and I expect certain things. I expect I'd light up just about every candle on their cake, as it were. And as long as they don't kick down my door, I really don't care if they follow me with those black helicopters :)

But when they start painting every vet with the same brush, that's just plain wrong. More of the same "vets are crazy" tripe from the '60s.

While I tend to agree with most of what you say, here, I do wonder if that cop is a "force of law and order".

RE: Good Question

"Chuck Pelto May Be a Terrorist!" -- The Quizzard

Not that I'm ashamed of it. My rich Uncle Sam, thanks to all the taxpayers reading this, helped make me such. Something to do with 27 years in the infantry and airborne-ranger qualification.

And I thank all of you for making me such. Why? As I'm pretty much prepared to deal with most situations a simple civilian might expect from either gang-bangers or other more nefarious sorts.

The serious issue seems to be "what do I actually 'think' and or 'believe'"?

I believe I took my oath of office, upon being commissioned an officer in the United States Army VERY seriously. [Note: Apparently much more 'seriously' than Senator McCain took of HIS oath...which was identical to mine.]

Does that make me a 'potential terrorist'? Hardly. Obama defeated McCain. And most likely McCain's oath-breaking played a part in that 'victory'.

Rather, what DHS thinks makes me a 'potential terrorist' is in several parts....

[1] I'm a professional soldier.
[2] I'm well skilled in planning and executing 'military' operations.
[3] I hold true to an oath I took in 1975 to "uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic".
[4] And worst of all.....

....I can make bombs out of bisquick. And heaven forfend they allow me to get my hands on bacon drippings.....

I suspect they get rather paranoid about 'forbidden knowledge'. But...heck....they're the ones who taught me this stuff so long ago.....

Chuck(le)

RE: heh

Reading the comments of this thread, most of the people here consider their 'identification' as a 'potential terrorist' as something of a joke.

Be advised....

....these government 'servants' enjoy their 'bowl of rice' off of doing this sort of think.

So, please, 'think again'.

Regards,

Chuck(le)
P.S. The first serious 'indicator' that they SERIOUSLY consider you a 'terrorist' will be when they 'knock' on your door. And it will probably be a 'knock' followed by a group of guys with machine guns wearing masks and shouting, "Polizei!"

So. If you hear that sort of thing going on around you, i.e., across the nation.....guess what.....

...all part of a 'Plan'.....if....

....you look at it from the perspective of Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB, in Army parlance).

This sort of systemic policy development doesn't occur 'overnight' without a good reason. Such a reason is a 'Plan'.

As the Vodakpundit put it earlier today.....

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. -- Saul Alinsky

Bvelieve it or not, if you oppose The One, you're being 'picked'. And DHS/FBI reports are the part of 'freezing'.

The 'personalizing' will be when they start broadcasting you as a 'potential terrorist'...gee.....who'd a thunk it.....

The 'polarizing' part will be when they get your neighbors to point you out as a 'threat' to their 'safety'.

Regards,

Chuck(le)
P.S. Enjoy the show.....
