Do Bloggers Ever Take a Break?
Well, sometimes they do. Glenn and I are on a working "vacation" in Hilton Head, South Carolina and when I get a break, I go fly a kite on the beach:
Glenn on the other hand, doesn't take much of a break, here he is being photographed for an upcoming story by a New York Times freelance photographer on the beach--about blogging of course. Well, I did work as the grip for this shoot but didn't get paid, does that count as work or stupidity?

Glenn took me to a neat seafood place, The Crazy Crab on the island. It's a great place if you love seafood.
I would never presume to call you stupid. A chump, perhaps (middle class guy makes a good point) but never stupid.
Then again, my husband finagled my helping him with his "plumb bob" (don't ask) today. (Hmm. Perhaps I should explain: It's a home improvement thing, even though it sounds like a sex toy.) So, who's the bigger chump?

The man in each case, who married a woman making far less than him and who allows a continuous flow of money in various ways to her while she continually complains under the guise of "kidding"?

Actually, I was asking: Between Helen and me, who is the bigger chump, ie holding a grip or a plumb bob for our husbands.
Looking at the package, it's really a "steel plumb bob." (My husband informs me there are nonsteel ones, but those are for weinies.) It's a weight than dangles from a string so that when it's at rest, it's perpendicular to the ground. Obviously, a man named it.

Trick question, because any woman who does anything at all for her husband, while living off his hard work and continually taking the flow of money her way from him, is a maximal chump.
Oh - I'm just kidding, of course. Just like you're kidding.
I'm not sure why you're assuming we're "living off our husbands." Or, even if it were the case that our husbands make more than we do (and I have no idea, nor interest, nor is it my business if that is the case for Helen), "continually taking the flow of money her way from him," is a bit of an assumption.
And yes, I was kidding. My husband and I kid each other about many things, all the time. We make each other laugh every day. It's part of how we've enjoyed being together for nearly 20 years.
I would hope most couples find a way to laugh together on a daily basis.
Usually women who say things like "Obviously, a man named it." and who assume that no one on the board has ever heard of a common tool make less than their husbands. Because they are dumb-shits and probably not capable of making very much.
Forgive me if I wrongly assumed that on your part.
It's all just kidding around. Tee-hee. Chuckle.

I'm not sure what's going on with your comments. Dooreen is a psychiatrist, I'm a psychologist and I highly doubt either of us is "living off our husbands" whatever that means. I was just making a joke about both Glenn and me working on vacation--not sure how that ties into my not wanting to help him out. I think you are extrapolating far too much from our comments and reading things into them that are not there.
