Post Election Podcast

Our two favorite military analysts, Jim Dunnigan of Strategy Page and Austin Bay of AustinBay.net discuss the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld, what the mid-term election results mean for the war and military tactics as well as the "new direction" of the Democratic party. Listening to these two experts put the elections and the war into perspective from a historical point of view cheered me up and made me feel more positive about the direction of both.

The Jim and Austin Show... what good fun. The best part was when you guys tried to actually tried to get a question in. Funny!

I wish Dr Helen would do some video podcasting. Maybe bikini oil-wrestling with Michelle Malkin? I'm sure the Prof. wouldn't mind officiating.

Seriously, we are trying to offer high level political and intellectual discussion in our podcasts and all you can think about is bikini clad women duking it out in an oil wrestling match? Where do I sign up?

Dr Helen--I love those Dunnigan/Bay podcasts. And for all the success you have in asking any but the first question, you might as well just hit "record" and come back 45 minutes later.

I've missed the last couple of podcasts (on any subject), but wanted to say this one had the highest audio quality of any in memory.

If Helen tried mixing in some bikini oil-wrestling Jim and Austin wouldn't let her talk long enough to suggest it, and if she somehow got that far they'd take it over and do it themselves. Do we really want to see that?

Seriously - that was a good idea to get their perspective at that point in time. Very interesting podcast!

Not to comment of the matters under discussion, rather the way these fellows discussed it. To my mind these guys should learn to be slightly more civil guests. I found them actually rather rude, or possibly it was that they simply lack some of the social skills required for seemly discourse. I find that sort of thing quite uncomfortable to listen to.

It's not as if Helen and Glen are 'me, me , me' interviewers or hosts. They cut their subjects plenty of slack, way more than most in the MSM.
