Carnival of the Insanities
Dr. Sanity has her Carnival of the Insanities up. I always find some interesting links here. Check out #20--a blog on-- get this--public restroom ratings. I wish I had known about this site when I was making my documentary around rural towns in Tennessee, Virginia and Kentucky. I have never been in such rough public bathrooms.

You haven't seen horrid public bathrooms until you've been to India. Dear god.
You obviously haven't used the restrooms on Metro North commuter trains. (I'm guessing that India's trump even those, on the other hand.)
I was going to say try Romania, but I'll bet India trumps that.
Bodily fluids are bodily fluids, however and when they are where they shouldn't be, it's not pleasant anywhere.
BTW, if you are doing more documentaries in that area, Asbury Collge has the best equipment and trained students in the area. They do the Olympics every other year and get top-of-the-line equipment donated by the major networks. My advantage is only indirect now. My son graduates from there this year in film studies, so he wouldn't get to work on any project you sought anyway.
He does get to do the Winter Olympics in the Italian Alps this year, though, and I am very jealous.
I'll bet the restrooms are pretty good there, too.
Anjali - forget about the public bathrooms in India. Heck if you go and visit some pretty swanky looking homes that our fellow desis live in, and look at the bathrooms, you will be appalled!!!Seems, a lot of desis still havent figured out how to use western-styles toilets and TP!!!! And that bathrooms need to cleaned on a regular basis.
