I just read the Oprah list. Ay Caramba! -- an overzealous prosecutor's dream and a defense attorney's nightmare. Oprah learned a lot in her PhD prog... oh wait. No, she's learned alot in her prior career in psychological counseling ... oh wait. Well, she was a journalist and has a TV show and sure is smart.

LOL - Thanks for linking to that one - it's hysterical.

I was just at a "party" (some thing like a Tupperware or house goods or something) and one of the women there had 4 kids 7 years old and younger. She told me (very seriously) that this year she was going to let the oldest go play outside by herself!!!

The mantra from these over zealous moms is always - well it's not likely that something bad will happen, but wouldn't you feel guilty if you didn't try to prevent it.

Heaven help the kids being raised by these well meaning ninnies. How will they ever live on their own? What can I say - my 26 and 21 year old made it through my neglectful parenting style into adulthood and now are on their own. (I'm sure someday even that will be considered "bad") *grin*
