Dr. Wes: The Pool's Open!:

It's summertime and the government's high risk insurance pool (made available by the recent passage of the health care reform bill ironically called the "Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act") opens today. Uninsurable people should jump on in if they can "afford" the hefty $400-$900 cost per month. Be sure to bring the whole family so they can help pay the bill, too!

I wonder how big of a splash this will make. It's certainly not particularly affordable. Maybe if you have pre-conditions but my employer provided insurance beats it.

I cannot wait to mention it to a couple of people who have been dying to get on Obamacare. I think the cost will just wreck their day, which uhrm I am not going to mention. I see them weekly. I cannot wait until the week after telling them and having them look this up. I am sure they are going to be delighted with their new affordable, top of the line, government health care... and it's prospects if they do happen to dig that far.

Call me curious. But I wonder what their expressions will be like when they find what their ruler has allotted them.

Mr. Doom, my guess is that they will tell you that they are just fine with it. No matter how they grind their teeth in private.

The election of this POTUS was not about the person elected, but how the voters wanted to feel about themselves. If they criticize the actions of this POTUS, why, they are admitting that they were bamboozled.

And they would waterboard a thousand Taliban members before admitting that.

Hi Eric,

I must admit I wondered about this. But these "liberals" are a little different. They actually do admit things they don't like, about pretty much anything. I think they have failed to explore in order not to have to... discover? Yes. But they are neither drones nor intellectually devoid of merit either. I guess that is why I continue to enjoy their company.

No, they will screw up their faces and poo-poo the whole thing. They are rather... frugal people, and this was supposed to 'help the little guy'. Then again, they may not even qualify, depending on what "rich" means in this case. They are, whatever else, looking for freebies. They just know they will get them.

Anyone considering terrorism as a method of achieving their goals need only look at America's healthcare system to realize that human life is as valueless as you care to imagine it.
