I have to admit I was unaware of the controversy, or even of the Salon article, since lately I have spent most of my time reading about more facscinating subjects such as Federal Reserve policy.

But tracking back through all of the stories and threads leading up to Breitbart's thorough trouncing of both Blumenthal and then Jenkins entertained me all morning.

I love a good fight, especially when my side wins.

The old conventional wisdom was to never pick a fight with the press. The saying went, "Don't get into an argument with someone who buys ink by the barrel."

Today, it's possible to fight back. The press may buy ink by the barrel, but Breitbart doesn't even have to buy ink to get the word out. Pixels are amazingly inexpensive.
