Seems as if the bride should have been arrested also. The orders apply to both parties in most states although one party has the order "against" the other. Obviously, she voluntarily violated the order.
Yeah, it's hard to feel sympathetic with stupid people.

I've never seen a protection order, mutually applicable to both the man and woman, enforced against the woman. No different in principle than when a man and woman, both of whom are intoxicated, have sex, but only the man will be charged with unlawful sexual intercourse.
One wonders what the bride had to say to the police? I can't imagine why the police would arrest this man, unless she complained.
It doesn't make any sense. She had an order against him, yet they got re-married? That being the case, they were both guilty, correct? Or am I missing something? You have to be close enough to exchange vows and rings.
Seems to me if she ordered him to stay away from her, she should also have to stay away from him. That's reasonable, eh? Otherwise, she could chase him all over the planet, and he would still get arrested if she were able to catch up to him within a certain distance, as stated in the order.
But I should know better. My ex, in her "fractured" days placed orders against me, and then turned around and walked right into my house, screaming and yelling and making threats. Many times. Of course, the police did nothing about that.
I hope she cried about how the man ruined her wedding. Stupid cow.

A judge should force both of them to read "Co-dependent No More" and each do a separate, individual live book report to the judge in court, to prove they read it.
My wife watches Bridezilla sometimes just for the horror and entertainment, and there was a case similar to this. The guy had gotten away from the woman once by divorcing her, and then he was going in for a second opportunity with her after he had managed to escape!
Men like that deserve to be laughed at when they get screwed in the family courts.
This reminds me a bit of the story about the dad who accidentally bought his kid a hard lemonade at a ballgame (was that discussion here?). Seems no one wanted to arrest the guy, take his kid away, etc., but procedures had to be followed. Wonder if that is the case here.
Oh, and yeah, these people all sound like low-life idiots.

miket - was that the recent one where the woman threw a huge fit in the restaurant he took her to propose, because the ring didn't have a diamond? Even though it was Platinum, she went off on him and stalked out because there was no diamond!
Sadly, we see the lack of common sense when applying the law. Blind devotion. Reminds me of how things started in a small country in Europe in the 1920's and 30's. What happened there again? /sarcasm
