How can you be bored by horses? Maybe you're bored by people who are gaga about horses?
ReplyDeleteI was never particularly a horse person, although as a preteen I loved Marguerite Henry's horse books and was thrilled with riding horses even as I feared their awesome size and power. Then one day in the last period of time as an adult, I was in field checking out something -- don't remember what -- when two horses were suddenly breathing over my shoulder, curious as to what I was up to. Then I realized they are just like us.

ReplyDeleteOn your horse and romance novel--pausing to watch the wild horses roam the beaches of the Outer Banks on an annual trip are as close to that type of reading that I could take. Hopefully, your other books prove to be more entertaining.
I just finished Michael Lewis' 2003 book entitled "Moneyball" and enjoyed it thoroughly. This may be the last book of choice for me for awhile, since I am returning to grad school in January.
